Through a varied group of 8 projects per semester, we teach and apply the concepts and methodology of project management in the after-school program format. Students learn how to conceive, design, plan, close and deliver projects using the formula of Scope, Timelines and Resources as their guide. They rely on each other to get to the goals and lead within their communities through service and mentoring.
Healthy food choices program that provides fresh fruit, healthy snacks, protein and bottled water each week. This meets the USDA requirement of at least 4 servings per week of fresh fruit and the energy to perform in the classroom.
Internships and apprenticeships for students completing the program with industry for students bound for college and those choosing the vocations. All are geared toward using the 25 hours of project management training they accomplish each semester.
